Sustainability
Built virtual. Built to last.
Vaniam Group has operated as a fully virtual organization since 2007 — built from the start in a way that minimizes environmental impact, supports a global team, and aligns how we work with how we want to grow.
EcoVadis Platinum
Vaniam Group holds an EcoVadis Platinum sustainability rating, placing us in the top 1% of organizations assessed worldwide for environmental stewardship, ethics, labor and human rights, and sustainable procurement.
Environmental responsibility
Operating as a fully virtual company since 2007 has eliminated the greenhouse gas emissions associated with daily commutes, while allowing us to attract scientific talent across the globe.
We recognize that other aspects of our business — including air travel for client meetings and industry events — contribute to our environmental footprint. Vaniam Group has committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions 66% by 2030 and achieving net-zero emissions by 2048.
To meet these targets, we are:
• Minimizing unnecessary travel and optimizing travel practices
• Partnering with eco-conscious suppliers
• Training our teams on the environmental dimensions of sustainability
• Collaborating with partners and suppliers to advance shared sustainability goals
Vaniam Group discloses environmental data to the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) and has publicly committed to net-zero emissions through the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). We are currently working with SBTi Services to validate our targets and track our progress.

Workplace
Vaniam Group is a woman-owned business certified through the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). Women hold more than 70% of leadership roles at Vaniam Group.
Vaniam Group has been named to Inc. Magazine’s list of Best Workplaces and has appeared on the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in America for multiple consecutive years.

Governance
Vaniam Group’s executive committee sets annual key performance indicators across employee retention, revenue diversity, scalability, sustainability, and product innovation. These metrics are tracked year-round and shared with the team — building the trust, accountability, and alignment that have supported nearly 2 decades of organic growth.
